making smart prosthetics affordable
Team [REDACTED].
Meet the Team.
four intrepid undergrads, one interesting challenge
Ellie "Can I Bring Food To This Meeting" Funkhouser
Mechanical Engineering // Class of 2017
eleanorfunkhouser.wix.com/home
My official team role is “covert photographer”, but I occasionally step outside of these bounds to CAD or hot glue the wrong things together while my teammates quietly usher me back to my chair.
Celine "Insert Name Here" Ta
Product Design & Development // Class of 2017
Aside from trying unsuccessfully to come up with names, I also work on powering otherwise inanimate objects, sensor integration on both hardware and software, and other things that involve sparky connections in our project (it’s safe, I promise!).
Victoria "Late Bloomer" Preston
Robotics Engineering // Class of 2016
http://victorialynnpreston.wix.com/victoria
While trying to get over the mental complex of being a junior in POE, I've been working on sensor characterization, machine learning algorithms, and electrical systems in the project. Back in my day, arms didn't have any smarts! Kids these days....
Liani "Super F"Lye
Robotics Engineering // Class of 2017
I am the smallest team member, and therefore the fastest - at figuring out how to break our systems ten times over and make it better both in CAD and in software by getting a grip on mechanical system space constraints and translating sensor readings into intuitive motions.
